Jesus sits down to have a meal with His disciples. They gather and celebrate a traditional Seder meal as they Jews have been doing since Moses led them out of Egypt and through the desert. A Passover lamb was sacrificed for the sins of the people. Jesus reveals that he is God’s lamb that takes away the sins of the world. He provides his own body and blood to be sacrificed for the forgiveness of our sins. We remember Jesus every time we celebrate the Lord’s supper. We receive in with and under the bread and wine His very body and blood for the forgiveness of our sins.
